This section features artwork by Final Fantasy VI's character designer, Amano Yoshitaka. Amano was the character designer for Final Fantasy I until VI, and he also did the designs for IX. He designed all the Final Fantasy logos, and although Tetsuro Nomura designed the characters for VII, VIII, and X, Amano did many pieces for those games as well.

Much of Amano's FFVI artwork can be seen in Final Fantasy Japan, an artbook that features various images from Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI. Not all of his FFVI images are in that book. However, his The Sky artbook set contains every single Final Fantasy artwork he did (up to Final Fantasy X), including all his VI pictures.
